The number one BS line for top Republicans is the ‘things aren’t the same as they were when I was a kid” emotional appeal thing.  Of course, they aren’t, dippy. Things aren’t the same as they were when I was a kid, and I’m 30 years younger than you. It’s an entire political party of high school football stars still wanting to wear their class jackets everywhere.

Do I think the mosque in the vicinity of Ground Zero is asking for trouble? Yes. But the same person talking insistently about the importance Of the Constitution can’t oppose something that is granted specifically By the Constitution. The hoopla over this is just a gay marriage-type of issue to bring Conservatives out in November. Because freedom of religion, to some, just means “freedom of MY religion”
